We know weeknights are getting busier with soccer practice and homework, but tacos are the perfect combination of easy preparation and incredible flavor. Our signature marinade adds the right amount of flavor to your taco and blends well with any taco seasoning. Below is one of our favorite taco recipes adjusted to compliment The Meat House marinade flavor.
The Meat House Steak Tacos
- 2 pounds Meat House Marinated Steak Tips
- 8 soft corn tortillas, warmed
- Pepper jack cheese, shredded
- Salsa (most Meat House’s carry a local variety- try it!)
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup red onion
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
- Juice of 1 lime
Light a grill or preheat grill pan. Allow steak tips to come to room temperature about 20 minutes. Grill over moderately high heat, 4-6 minutes per side. Transfer the steak tips to a work surface and let stand for 5 minutes. Cut steak into strips and serve on warm tortillas topped with shredded pepper jack cheese, your favorite locally made salsa, sour cream, red onion, diced tomatoes, lettuce, guacamole and cilantro and lime to taste.
*If you’re using leftovers, simply microwave your leftover steak tips for about 1 minute or lightly sauté over medium heat with a splash of water until warm.
Simple, yet so satisfying. This recipe is sure to spice up your Tuesday night dinner. Happy National Taco Day!
